Umgeni Steam Railway

The Umgeni Steam Railway was founded in 1982 when a small shunting locomotive was donated to a group of railway enthusiasts. Other locomotives and rolling stock have been donated over the years allowing the Umgeni Steam Railway to run a variety of train trips for the public. Their regular trips take place on the first and last Sunday of the month. On the last Sunday of the month the train departs from the old Kloof Station and runs to Inchanga where a flea market is held. The train then returns to Kloof. Other trips, to further destinations, are organised at various times of the year. Check their web site for details.
